Tyler started out performing on stage with his father, John, who was an actor and writer. He began at the age of six and has had steady work since the age of eight. His breakout role was on Teen Wolf where he got the lead role as Scott McCall.
Tyler Posey has two siblings. An older brother named Derek and a younger sister named Jesse. He has Irish heritage on his father's side and Mexican heritage on his mother's side.
Tyler Posey lost his mom to breast cancer in December of 2014. Season 5 of Teen Wolf is dedicated to her memory.
He is the singer and guitarist for a band called Disappearing Jamie, formerly known as Lost in Kostko.
Tyler created Posey's Paradise with Serengetee to help the Leukemia & Lymphoma Sociey. They help to research blood cancer and other kinds as well. It is a cause that Tyler really supports because his mom and aunt both died from breast cancer and his mom even had another kind of cancer as well.
Tyler has worked with his father, John Posey, many times. Including on Doc and Teen Wolf.
